About the 100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor

The 100.DR is the mid-scale member of our decarboxylation reactor line, built around a 100 L ASME stainless-steel jacketed vessel. It is used for decarboxylation, degassing and devolatilisation of crude oil, operating across a temperature range of -20°C to 250°C with vacuum rated below 1 torr. An explosion-proof agitating motor and a C1D1 touchscreen tablet provide precise process control.

Where the 100.DR fits in your process

Used in

Intermediate processing — converts acidic cannabinoids such as THCA and CBDA into their neutral, active forms before distillation.

Best for

  • Preparing crude ahead of distillation
  • Repeatable conversion with documented time and temperature
  • Separating decarb out of the distillation vessel to free up capacity

GMP and EU GMP context

GMP is a facility and process standard. It applies to the building, the procedures, the documentation and the people together — no extraction system carries a GMP certification on its own.

What decides whether a system helps or hinders an EU GMP programme is its material selection, hygienic design and the qualification documentation available for it. Our guide to EU GMP cannabis extraction equipment sets out what to look for and which questions to put to any supplier.

100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor — Frequently Asked Questions

What solvent does the 100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor use?

Decarboxylation does not use a process solvent — it converts acidic cannabinoids such as THCA and CBDA into their neutral, active forms with controlled time and temperature.

What room classification do I need for the 100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor?

Room classification depends on the solvents present in the room, not on this system alone. Where residual solvent is still being driven off, that factors into your facility code review with the local authority having jurisdiction.

Can I run the 100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor in an EU GMP facility?

GMP — including EU GMP — is a facility and process standard: it applies to the building, the procedures, the documentation and the people together, and no extraction system carries a GMP certification on its own. Whether a system helps or hinders an EU GMP programme comes down to its material selection, hygienic design and the qualification documentation available for it. Contact Decimal Engineering to discuss configuration options for your facility.

What documentation comes with the 100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor?

A current specification sheet for the 100.DR Decarboxylation Reactor is available from Decimal Engineering on request, and customers receive access to a standard operating procedure (SOP) library for their equipment. Documentation packages to support IQ/OQ/PQ and facility turnover are available; scope varies by model and configuration.
