Model 20.EX
The 20.EX is Decimal's chilled-ethanol centrifuge extractor, designed to support EU-GMP facility compliance. Biomass is spun while chilled ethanol washes over it, producing 15–20 minute cycles at temperatures down to -40°C and up to 20 lbs per cycle — approximately 500 lbs per 8-hour shift. Its centrifuge, umbilical control panel and tablet are C1D1 rated.

Primary extraction — recovers cannabinoids from cured biomass with chilled ethanol, favouring throughput per shift over terpene retention. The 20.EX Ethanol Centrifuge Extractor is well suited to:
Cannabis Extraction
Licensed cannabis extraction and processing facilities operating under state or national licence
Food & Beverage
Food-grade extraction for essential oils, flavors, and botanical extracts
Regulated Facilities
Extraction facilities operating under documented quality and process controls

Best for
GMP and EU GMP context
GMP is a facility and process standard. It applies to the building, the procedures, the documentation and the people together — no extraction system carries a GMP certification on its own.
The 20.EX Ethanol Centrifuge Extractor is designed to support EU-GMP facility compliance, as published on its specification source.
What decides whether a system helps or hinders an EU GMP programme is its material selection, hygienic design and the qualification documentation available for it. Our guide to EU GMP cannabis extraction equipment sets out what to look for and which questions to put to any supplier.
It uses chilled ethanol as the process solvent, recovering cannabinoids from cured biomass. Ethanol handling, storage and recovery capacity elsewhere in the facility should be sized alongside the extractor.
Room classification for ethanol processing depends on the ethanol volumes present and your local fire code — it is a property of the room and facility, not of the machine alone. Your facility code review with the local authority having jurisdiction determines the classification.

GMP — including EU GMP — is a facility and process standard: it applies to the building, the procedures, the documentation and the people together, and no extraction system carries a GMP certification on its own.
A current specification sheet for the 20.EX Ethanol Centrifuge Extractor is available from Decimal Engineering on request, and customers receive access to a standard operating procedure (SOP) library for their equipment. Documentation packages to support IQ/OQ/PQ and facility turnover are available; scope varies by model and configuration.
